Our Work
The Sports Solidarity team has organized, advocated for, and negotiated for thousands of workers across sports.
Between 2020 and 2023, the core of Sports Solidarity achieved the "impossible" by leading the historic effort to unionize Minor League baseball players and then helping negotiate the first collective bargaining agreement in the 150 history of Minor League baseball.
In the wake of that success, our President, Harry Marino, received significant interest from other workers across the sports industry who want to improve their working conditions through collective action. He formed Sports Solidarity to take on that important work.
In late 2024, the United Football Players Association tapped Harry and Sports Solidarity to lead the first collective bargaining negotiations for their independent union. The team waged a strategic contract campaign over the next six months that delivered a significant and unexpected win for the Players.
Sports Solidarity is currently working behind the scenes on behalf of several other groups of workers across the sports industry.
